About Us: Engineering
The engineering team make the studios work.
Their innovations enable the studios to do more so that we can serve our listeners even better. For example, they integrated the devices that we use to provide outside broadcasts: the live cricket, football and concert coverage. This included some of their own ingenious devices that make the whole thing work just that bit smoother.
The team also developed our computer based record library database system, enabling fast lookup of music. This is vital to get requests played on time.
There are other examples and will be more in the future. Our team takes a keen interest in the continuous technological advances and assesses how they can be harnessed to the benefit of the studio, budget permitting.
Occasionally our high quality studio equipment needs servicing - and that's another important role of the team. They are dedicated and expert in studio electronics.
